Legacy is Tomorrow!
Legacy is the end-of-year festival for Infants-12th graders and their families.  The purpose for funds raised is a “legacy” to upcoming 6th-8th grade students to put toward their annual Museum Trip.  Tomorrow (Tuesday, May 17th) will be the 2011 Legacy, with a Medieval Theme.  Please park, then pick up your child in his/her classroom. There will be no 3pm carline or front desk calls for pickup that afternoon.  After School Club stays inside and those children may participate in Legacy only when accompanied by a parent or other adult designated on the Legacy Pick-up Pass only.  The Charlie’s Chicken order deadline has passed, but you may purchase snacks and game tickets at the event.  See you there! REMINDER: ALL 6th – 8th grade students are required to stay at Legacy to clean up unless prior arrangements have been made with Mrs. Maxey.

Camp Raven Opens Next Week!
Camp Raven begins next Tuesday, May 24th.  There are lots of great camps for all ages that still have openings.  Whether your camper is interested in sports, reading, outdoor adventures, cooking, dancing, or more, we have what they’re looking for!  To register, visit http://www.riverfield.org/summer.php or pick up enrollment forms.  Camp Director Ric Breig has put together several great events for all families (not just those on campus during the summer).  Look for more information soon on these fun family gatherings!

Upper School Theater Productions a Hit!
Congratulations to the student cast of “Act a Lady” and their teacher Mrs. Long.  The performances last Thursday and Friday evenings were outstanding, as was the flexibility of the cast and the audience to move the play inside Thursday as it started to rain.  Well done!

Library Books Past Due
Attention students, teachers, and parents: ALL library books are now PAST DUE!  Please search lockers, backpacks, classrooms, commons areas, bedrooms, cars, etc. for any Riverfield Library Books.  Missing books not returned will be billed to your RCDS account.  Thank you for your attention to this matter!

Immunization Updates and Changes to Schedule
The Oklahoma State Department of Health has updated the immunization requirements for incoming 7th graders.  These students and all others must be current on their immunizations to attend summer camp and school in the fall.  Please see the attached immunization schedule for further information.

Last Chance to Order 6th – 8th Grade Memory Book
Tuesday, May 16th is the cutoff for ordering the Middle School memory book.  The book is $20; if you are interested in ordering, please email Mrs. Maxey at dmaxey@riverfield.org

Renweb How-To
Riverfield parents can find a wealth of information regarding school activities, grade reports, lesson plans, homework, family directories, and more on our school management website at www.renweb.com.  To log onto RenWeb for the first time, a parent will need to input the district code RCDS-OK, the e-mail address where he/she receives Riverfield email, and your chosen password.  Staff does not have access to parent passwords.  Questions or concerns about RenWeb should be directed to frontdesk@riverfield.org.

Round-Up is our Friday Assembly at 8:40am usually in the Multi-Purpose Room. Please be punctual!

RCDS Fantastic Fact

Fantastic Fact: What a fabulous year this has been! The staff could not have sown “Seeds of Success” without the tending, cultivating, and nurturing of our Riverfield families.  Thank you for all you’ve done in and out of the classroom – from homework help to chaperoning dances, from reading stories in classes to bringing recyclable items.  This truly is a community in every sense of the world.  We wish you a happy summer and hope you’ll be part of our summer activities, whether it be at one of our great summer camp options or a fun event for the whole family listed in the calendar above!
