RCDS Fact : Riverfield’s Drama program has grown by leaps and bounds in the two years it’s been on campus. Spearheaded by teacher Leslie Long, this week’s Upper School Drama performances are the culmination of a great year. Please join us on Thursday and Friday nights for “The Odd Couple” and “Rumors”, respectively. In another first, the plays will be held in a true stage environment at Webster High School’s Performing Arts Center (1919 W. 40th St. Tulsa, 74107). The doors open at 7pm and the plays begin at 7:30pm. Tickets are $5. Don’t miss it!!

Street Party a Huge Success!
Thank you to all the students, parents, teachers, and other volunteers that made Friday’s Riverfield Rocks Street Party a success. We had at least 700 people in attendance and a good time was had by all! Thanks again for all the hard work!!
All School Picture
Faculty and students gathered last Wednesday on the back field for the 2008 all-school picture. If you would like a 5x7 picture, it is $7 and you can order one through Jennifer Nation at the front desk in person or via email (jnation@riverfield.org). Please place orders and bring money by May 12 th.
Thank You Parents!
Last week the staff was really pampered with breakfast, lunches, snacks, treats, chair massages, and a new RCDS shirt. Thanks to Rita Jackson and Cynthia Clark, RFA Board Members, who made us feel like royalty!! During Thursday’s luncheon, we honored Jennifer Kesselring for her 10 years at RCDS and Caroline Johnson for 20 years of service to RCDS! Congratulations and many thanks to these wonderful teachers!
Legacy Is Just a Week Away! Make Plans to Attend on May 13 th After School.
Here ye, here ye, all lords and ladies of the realm. Plan to spend an afternoon of Medieval fun hosted by Riverfield 6 th-8 th graders. There will be games, activities, sword fighting, music, and food for the whole family! Sign-up forms and Charlie’s Chicken dinner reservations will go out tomorrow.
Update on Annual Giving!
It is time for the final push for Annual Giving. If you have not made your gift yet, please do so ASAP. With your support we will top $100,000 for the second straight year!
Are you on the Garden Committee? Or would you like to do a little gardening at RCDS?
This week and next there are some shrubs to trim, weeds to pull, and plants to plant. If you could help with a project, please email mclark@riverfield.org.
Immunization Notice!!!!!
All students (Inf-12 th) participating in Summer Camps and Programs MUST have current immunization records on file no later than this Friday, May 9 th. If records are not submitted to Riverfield’s front office, students WILL NOT be allowed to attend this summer. A similar policy will be in place for all 2008-09 school year students; all immunization updates must be to Riverfield by August 1, 2008.
8 th Grade Closing Exercises Performance Reminder
Thursday, May 15 th – 8 th grade Closing Exercises at 6pm; 4 th grade sit together to sing; 5 th grade sit together to play recorders
Summer Reading lists for K-12 th will go out with Grade Cards for 4 th-11 th and will be mailed in Early June for K-3 rd.
Library Book Return
Please look through your home and vehicles for any Riverfield library books that you can return ASAP. Additionally, there will be no more book checkouts from the library this school year. Mrs. Fisher says, “Thanks for a great year!”
Riverfield Summer Camps Still Have A Few Openings
This summer at Riverfield we are offering exciting new camps that will keep you busy week after week. Do you want to be in rock band next year? If so, sign up for the band camps and get ready to rock! The Drama camps are a great way to delve into theatre and be creative all summer long. If you like getting dirty and playing in the mud, check out Rivers, Boats, Dams, and Forts. You will be creating, building, and getting messy all week long. Don’t forget about all of the sports camps! Flag Football, Tennis, Basketball, Biking, Swimming, and even Paintball are a good way to hang out with friends and stay active all summer long! These camps are filling up quick so log onto www.riverfield.org and click on summer camp or look for the brochures at the front desk. See you this summer!!
