• Writing genres (narrative, report, procedure, recount, persuasive, description, explanation)

• Word study of spelling features in four stages: letter name, within word, syllable juncture and derivational constancy

• Addition, subtraction, multiplication and division of whole numbers, fractions & decimals

2008-09 Earth, space, integrated research, Science Fair

Enrichment Clusters
Topics are selected quarterly based on stu-dents’ interests including Orff instruments, opera, cooking, computer programming, scientific investigations and Academic Bowl.

Specials
Spanish, German, art, music, library skills, and PE are a part of the weekly curriculum.
