Welcome to Riverfield's Upper School!

This is an exciting time at Riverfield. We had our first graduates in May 2007, we are welcoming our largest freshman class to date and Upper School enrollment has increased four-fold in the past 4 years.

Personal attention is our greatest strength. We know each child within a short time and help each student succeed to the best of their abilities. Parents feel connected to their children and both feel a part of close knit community. This is not commonplace in schools today and the sense of security and belonging that Riverfield offers is very important.

Riverfield continues to build a rich school experience for our students and social events continue to increase along with our elective options! Today our students enjoy a full Winter Homecoming, Games Nights and an active student government. We have added additional elective options including Rock Band (unique in Oklahoma!), Drama, PhotoShop, Yearbook, and Newspaper, to name a few. We are playing interscholastic sports in 8-man Football, Cheerleading, Cross Country, Girls Volleyball, Basketball, Tennis, Golf and Softball. In addition, we are preparing a new athletic complex on recently acquired 30 acres of land!

Our academic program is innovative as we are the only school in Oklahoma to integrate Tablet PCs into the college-prep curriculum, giving RCDS students a competitive advantage and ability to integrate technology into their work. Tablets are used as a tool for presentation, research (in our wireless facility), and communication. Another exciting addition has been on-line and CD-ROM textbooks in many core courses. Multimedia and interactive software enhance learning in many ways as our students become as technologically proficient as our world today demands. Each student has a riverfield.org email account which allows for many paperless transactions between teachers and students.

We use the online tool RenWeb, to provide parents and students easy access to grades, homework, school calendar, school directory and other helpful information. Parents feel ‘in the loop’ and can initiate communication easily through RenWeb. Students learn to use RenWeb to confirm homework assignments and manage their own academic success.
