Position Description: 
Riverfield Country Day School (RCDS) in Tulsa, OK, seeks a passionate and skilled Lower School teacher who has an affinity for integrated project based learning.  The qualified candidate will have experience meeting the social-emotional and cognitive learning needs of diverse learners.  The ideal candidate will have the disposition of a lifelong learner, recognizing the best classrooms are those in which students and teachers are often learning together.  RCDS students integrate disciplines into a “Design Thinking” mindset, where learning becomes visible and knowledge is used iteratively to devise solutions to real problems. 


Primary Responsibilities:
Create an interactive learning environment that includes creative lessons and assessments
Provide opportunities for students to have a shared voice with the teachers in developing the possibilities and agreements of the classroom
Work collaboratively with students, peers, administrators and families to develop pathways for the unique project learning opportunities of the year
Assess students to evaluate their abilities through the lens of growth mindset and global competencies
Integrate an understanding of state and national standards into hands on, project based learning opportunities 
Joyful integration and use of our 120 acre campus and barnyard, woods, creek, and trails
Collaborate to design interdisciplinary experiences
Develop integrated opportunities for students and teachers to use technology as a creative tool 
Reflect upon and make learning visible with students, for their families and the greater community through the use of focused documentation
Establish regular and effective communication with students and families
Engage in regular professional development and identify growth-based goals
Participate in required non-classroom activities including parent/teacher conferences, faculty meetings, special activities, and performance events
Foster a confident and collegial atmosphere within the Riverfield community and actively encourage interdisciplinary opportunities with other colleagues.
 

Qualifications:
B.A./B.S. in Elementary Education, Early Childhood Education or a related field required
Ability to facilitate learning in all areas of Lower School 2nd/ 3rd or 4th/5th Grade curriculum
Passion for achieving strong social emotional and academic results using the social constructivist approach to learning
Agility and flexibility to collaborate on cross-disciplinary projects and assignments
Committed to whole-child development
Physical Requirements:  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to talk and hear, traverse the classroom and school building, as well as outdoor areas.  There may be prolonged periods of standing, sitting, and working on a computer.  Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.

Position Description:

More specifically, RCDS is seeking an innovative teacher who sees World Languages not only as a study and a discipline, but also as applicable to real world situations. Spanish at RCDS using a TPRS (Teaching Proficiency through Reading and Storytelling) approach to teaching.


Primary Responsibilities:
Create an interactive learning environment that includes creative lessons and assessments;
Approach learning with a growth mindset, which involves significant feedback from teachers;
Provide opportunities for students to enter into academic dialogue through lively classroom discussion; 
“Hands-on,” experiential and/or project-based teaching;

innovative theater teacher who sees theater not only as performance, but also as a way to teach empathy
and empower creativity. RCDS students integrate disciplines into a “Design Thinking” mindset, where
learning becomes visible and knowledge is used creatively and iteratively to devise solutions to real
problems.

Primary Responsibilities:
● Teach theater electives and at least one theater core class (which meets for more time than
electives)
● Oversee theater productions throughout the year. These include at least one mainstage production
per semester and other performances that might include one-act plays, monologues, talent shows,
etc.
● Create an interactive learning environment that includes creative lessons and assessments;
● Provide opportunities for students to enter into academic dialogue through lively classroom
discussion;
● Assess students to evaluate their abilities through the lens of growth mindset and global
competencies;
● “Hands-on” teaching;
● Collaborate to design interdisciplinary experiences and coursework
● Establish regular and effective communication with students and parents;
● Engage in regular professional development and identify growth-based goals;

Riverfield Country Day School is seeking a full-time Campus Safety Officer. This position is responsible for the performance of campus-wide safety and security functions including building and personnel safety. This individual will interact with and provide assistance to all students, staff, and visitors; respond to vehicle accidents, criminal behavior, fire, or other emergencies; and help facilitate safety drills throughout the school year. This person will also work closely with the Operations Department to maintain building and transportation safety.

The candidate must have a current CLEET Armed Security Guard License and valid driver’s license.

The candidate must also be a high school graduate or have a GED.

The position is full-time Monday through Friday and may on occasion require evening or weekend support. Time will be spent both indoors and outdoors and will be divided between an office, a vehicle, and walking throughout campus. Strong work ethic and the ability to interact with students of all ages and adults are a must.

Riverfield Country Day School has an opening for a part-time activity bus driver.
We do not drive routes so this position would primarily be driving our smaller field trip buses.
Summer driving will be field trips for our summer camps.
School year will typically consist of Monday and Friday mornings with other trips available throughout the week.
