In 2008, Riverfield Founder Marty Clark and Upper School Head Toby Clark gave Mr. David Wright the green light to begin teaching an Upper School Speech & Debate Elective and launch a competitive team with a handful of eager students.  From those small beginnings RAVENS SPEECH & DEBATE has emerged to become a fixture on the RCDS campus and a formidable program that has earned respect throughout the state of Oklahoma.

In 2022, Middle School students began competing for Riverfield at area tournaments in the Novice Division.   Middle School participation is expected to expand throughout the coming years.
