    Riverfield Country Day School is seeking a full-time, year-round Payroll and Benefits Specialist with solid experience processing semi-monthly payroll in Paycom, administering employee benefit programs, coordinating new-hire processes, and assisting with policy development. Frequent communication (verbal and written) and collaboration with employees and management are required.

    Summary of Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    Payroll Administration

    • Process complex semi-monthly payroll for approximately 170 employees, using Paycom. Beginning to end, this process incorporates collecting employee data, tracking hours and attendance, calculating exceptions, managing deductions and garnishments, and delivering payments, all within strict timelines. 
    • Experience with creating reports using Paycom is preferred. This job requires compliance with federal and state regulations and standard accounting practices.
    • Assist with annual audit.

    Benefits Administration

    • Administer employee benefits programs and coordinate open enrollment, educate employees on benefits offerings and procedures.
    • Serve as liaison with insurance carriers and brokers; maintain benefits records and ensure compliance with ACA, COBRA, ERISA, and other applicable regulations.

    Human Resources

    • Support the recruiting process by posting job openings, monitoring, and distributing online job applications. Maintain candidate data in compliance with laws and best practices.
    • Provide employment/benefits information to candidates, perform background checks, on-board new hires, and off-board terminating employees.
    • Collect and maintain I-9 forms per Federal guidelines
    • Create and send out annual employment contracts to current and new staff.
    • Assist with developing the employee handbook and other policies. 
    • Provide reports to the Head of School, other Business Office members, and staff lists to Advancement as requested.

     

    Requirements:
    • Experience in processing payroll using Paycom software
    • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
    • 2+ years of recent payroll and benefits administration experience, preferably in a non-profit or educational setting.
    • Strong knowledge of payroll laws and benefits administration
    • Intermediate Excel skills 
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Word - especially the Merge function
    • Proficiency with Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Drive, Gmail, Calendars)
    • Experience with Blackbaud educational software is helpful
    • Experience with DocuSign software is helpful
    • High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and confidentiality
    • Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills
    • Flexibility to perform duties beyond normal business hours to meet critical deadlines

    Position Description:

    Riverfield Country Day School (RCDS) in Tulsa, OK, seeks a full-time, skilled, and dynamic mathematics teacher who can teach at any upper school level, with employment beginning in August of 2026. More specifically, RCDS is seeking an innovative math teacher who sees mathematics not only as a study and a discipline, but also as applicable to real-world situations. RCDS students integrate disciplines into a “Design Doing” mindset, an interdisciplinary approach to curriculum where learning becomes visible, and knowledge is used iteratively to devise solutions to real problems. 

    Riverfield Country Day School is a preK-12 day school in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Students bring together all disciplines to solve real-world problems, and education is more about action and “doing” than about sitting at desks in classrooms.     Primary Responsibilities:

    • Create an interactive learning environment that includes creative lessons and assessments;
    • Provide opportunities for students to enter into academic dialogue through lively classroom discussion;
    • View mathematics as a living discipline with tangible and teachable connections to the real world;
    • Assess students to evaluate their abilities through the lens of a growth mindset;
    • “Hands-on” innovative teaching;
    • Collaborate with grade-level teachers to design interdisciplinary experiences and coursework;
    • Establish regular and effective communication with students and parents;
    • Engage in regular professional development and identify growth-based goals;
    • Participate in required non-classroom activities including parent/teacher conferences, faculty meetings, special activities, academic advisory groups, and performance events;
    • Foster a confident, collegial atmosphere within the Upper School and actively encourage interdisciplinary opportunities with colleagues.
    Requirements:

    Qualifications:

    • B.A./B.S. in Mathematics or a related field required; M.A./M.S. in Mathematics or a related field preferred;
    • Ability to teach Upper School Mathematics at any grade level;
    • Passion for subject matter and for working with bright, motivated teenagers in a rigorous, college-preparatory environment;
    • Agility and flexibility to collaborate on cross-disciplinary projects and assignments;
    • Successful high school or college teaching experience in a classroom setting;
    • Independent School experience preferred.
