The Oklahoma Parental Choice Tax Credit (OkPCTC) program provides a refundable income tax credit of $5,000-$7,500 for eligible Oklahoma taxpayers who pay, or expect to pay, qualified expenses such as tuition and fees to an eligible private school on behalf of an eligible student who attends or plans to attend an eligible private school during that tax year.
Any taxpayer wishing to participate in the program for the 2026-2027 school year should apply when applications open on Monday, March 16, 2026 at 9 a.m. Please Note: The application will close on Monday, June 15, 2026.
Enrollment Verification Numbers (EVN) for currently enrolled eligible students were emailed on February 20, 2026. Please check both parents’ email accounts listed in Blackbaud for your EVN. Although both parents’ email addresses are provided to the state, the notification is only sent to one. The taxpayer applying for the Oklahoma Parental Choice Tax Credit program must provide the EVN during the application process. If you identify any errors with your student's name or date of birth, please email Sydney Atchison ([email protected]) for an update to your Enrollment Verification information. This will generate a new EVN email. Please note: if you need to make a change to your EVN after you have submitted your Parental Choice Tax Credit application, you will need to withdraw your previous application before we can adjust your EVN, and you will be able to submit a new application. Your position in line for the original application will not be retained.
