Giving Officer

The Advancement Department of Riverfield Country Day School serves the school with fundraising, marketing, communications, community-building, and general support. These employees also work closely with volunteer leadership. The department is currently seeking a full-time Giving Officer.

The Giving Officer position description:

  • Fundraise through all channels including in-person, email, online/social media, and mail appeals
  • Build fundraising and donor base
  • Build community with relationships with all constituents including donors, current and alumni families, staff, students, alumni, Trustees and friends of Riverfield
  • Work with team to craft campaign appeals
  • Work with team to craft thank you letters and acknowledgments
  • Create and run reports and analyze and utilize the results
  • Work with multiple databases
  • Work with team on annual events and activities
  • Work closely with Board of Trustees in fundraising efforts and serving as portal administrator, information coordinator, and staff liaison
  • Work closely with Riverfield Family Association throughout the year along with the rest of the Advancement Department on fundraising activities such as the Run for Riverfield and Sapphire Celebration
  • Communicate effectively with donors, co-workers, and volunteers

Requirements

Position Requirements:

  • Two to five years of fundraising experience
  • Bachelors or Associates or four years of professional experience
  • Experience working with a donor database, preferably Blackbaud
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word

Physical Requirements:

This position requires general office work that includes prolonged periods of sitting/standing; keyboard/mouse motions; speaking and hearing; near and distance vision; attending virtual and in-person meetings; occasional driving for local travel; occasional lifting up to 20 pounds; and pulling/pushing heavier items.

Hours and Salary:

  • Full-time
  • Salary commensurate with experience
