It is my pleasure to introduce you to the Pre-School at Riverfield Country Day School. At Riverfield, relationships are at the heart of our thinking and learning together. Inspired by the Reggio Emilia Approach to Early Childhood Education, the Pre-School is a welcoming and nurturing learning community that values children as competent and capable learners where children, families, and educators all play integral roles.
It is a place alive with inquiry, investigation, thinking, and communication. Our dedicated educators and complex environments filled with open-ended materials invite and cultivate thinking, collaboration, and representation of ideas. Learning is embedded in all aspects of our day through meaningful experiences and opportunities for hands-on, minds-on engagement.
We are a child-centered community where the intellectual and emotional integrity of children is honored. Respect, care, and the joy of living and learning are everywhere.
