Message From Admissions Director

Kacey Davenport

Thank you for your interest in Riverfield Country Day School! Selecting a school for your child is an important decision, and we are honored that you are considering Riverfield. Having experienced this remarkable school as both a parent and educator, I welcome the opportunity to share with you about this wonderful community.

Grounded in our mission, learning at Riverfield is a transformative, student-centered, educational experience. We come together as a community of students, families, teachers, and administrators with a common goal: to provide the academic, physical, emotional, and social foundation students need for success today and tomorrow.

We are a learning community that encourages engagement, intentionality, critical thinking, collaboration, and creativity. Here, students receive personal attention and are immersed in a culture of active participation. Riverfield is committed to maintaining a low teacher/student ratio, a key component in supporting this philosophy. Our caring, accomplished faculty is dedicated to developing rigorous 21st-Century thinkers while helping students discover their spark, nurture their talents, and harness their potential.

Learning reaches far beyond the classroom. Riverfield students are involved and contributing citizens of the greater community. Our students are encouraged to seek meaningful ways to apply their learning and share their voice, vision, and passion.

120-acre wooded campus fosters learning and connects our students with the rich natural environment. No matter the season, our barnyard, hiking trails, gardens, and freshwater systems offer a wide variety of educational experiences and support the curriculum for all ages.

Riverfield blends inquiry, discovery, and discussion in a hands-on, minds-on college prep curriculum. Students graduate with not only an excellent academic foundation, but also with skills that enable them to question, research, experiment, critique, and apply newfound knowledge to real-world challenges. This type of preparation is imperative in this fast-paced world of abundant information.

We invite you to explore the rest of our website to learn more about the application process and the greater Riverfield community, but nothing can take the place of a visit to our campus. Please make time soon to attend one of our many Open Houses, or contact me directly to make an appointment to visit. I look forward to meeting you and discussing your family's future here at Riverfield!

Sincerely,
Kacey
